Examine & Research Current Process, Tools & Flow of Information
- Conducted 1:1 interviews with the schedulers and home health aides to understand the problems with the current process, tools and flow of information.
- Mapped out the workflow from the point of request till a patient visit is completed.
- Gathered and captured information through various sessions of passive observation of a typical work day.
Develop Personas and Mapping
- Created personas to have an understanding of who would use the software, what their needs and expectations are, and what background/technical knowledge they have.
- Mapped out the main functions and the features that can be performed under each of those functions.
Market/Competitor Research, Wireframes & Flow Walkthrough
- Researched calendar softwares, scheduling softwares and other medical softwares.
- Wireframed the screens for the 6 modules (4 shown below)
- Walked though the flow of screens with other (non-ux) members of the team.
